Roof Drains

Commercial Roof Drains & Roof Drainage Products

Shop commercial roof drains for commercial, institutional and industrial roofing systems. MasterBuilder Mercantile carries roof drains and related drainage components in a range of sizes, outlet configurations and designs for collecting and directing rainwater into building storm drainage systems.

Roof drain selection depends on the roofing system, drainage requirements, outlet size and connection, roof construction and project specifications. Search by manufacturer model or part number when replacing an existing roof drain, or browse available configurations for new installations.

Commercial Roof Drains

Commercial roof drains collect rainwater from roof surfaces and direct it into the building's storm drainage system. Different roof construction and drainage requirements call for different drain body configurations, outlet sizes, connections and accessories.

When selecting a roof drain, verify the manufacturer's dimensions, outlet size and connection, required dome or strainer, roof construction and applicable project requirements.

Roof Drain Domes, Strainers & Components

Roof drains commonly incorporate domes or strainers designed to help prevent larger debris from entering the drainage system while allowing water to reach the drain. Replacement domes, strainers, rings and other components should be matched to the specific manufacturer and roof drain model.

For replacement applications, confirm the existing model and part number whenever possible rather than selecting a component based only on dimensions or appearance.

Primary & Secondary Roof Drainage

Commercial roof drainage systems may incorporate primary and secondary or overflow drainage according to the building design and applicable requirements. The correct roof drain configuration, sizing and placement should be determined from the project specifications and applicable plumbing and building codes.

Always review the manufacturer's technical information and project requirements before selecting roof drainage equipment for a new installation.

Choosing the Correct Roof Drain

Before ordering a roof drain, verify the required outlet size, connection type, body configuration, roof construction, drainage requirements and compatible accessories. For replacement applications, matching the existing manufacturer model or part number is generally the most reliable method of identifying the correct product.

Roof drainage systems are an important part of the building's stormwater management system. Product selection, sizing and installation should follow the manufacturer's instructions, project specifications and applicable plumbing and building requirements.
